Kip Moore to headline 2012 Riverfest

Riverfest 2012Clarksville, TN – Riverfest is excited to announce that the singer-songwriter Kip Moore will be the featured headliner at the 2012 Festival. Kip Moore will take the stage at 9:00pm as the main event on Saturday, September 8th, 2012. The concert is free and open to the public.

Kip Moore’s song “Somethin’ Bout a Truck” from his debut album, “Up All Night,” has claimed the No. 1 spot for the second consecutive week on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, making him the first new country artist in four years to have a debut album’s first single go No. 1 for multiple weeks. It has been certified gold and sold more than 700,000 digital singles.

“We are very excited to have Kip Moore headline the twenty-fifth anniversary of Riverfest,” said Jennifer Byard, Festival Director. “This year marks a huge milestone, and we want to celebrate that. We’ll continue to announce other artists and new additions to this year’s festival in the weeks to come.”

About Riverfest

Riverfest will be held September 7th-8th, 2012 along the banks of the Cumberland River at McGregor Park. Admission and entertainment at the Festival are free and open to the public.  More announcements will be made soon, as new events and entertainment are finalized and will be available on the Festival website, www.clarksvilleriverfest.com.
