Clarksville Police report Man released after pleading guilty commits Aggravated Burglary

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – A man who plead guilty to two counts of Aggravated Burglary and awaiting sentencing, was released on his own recognizance is now back in jail for committing another Aggravated Burglary.

On June 6th, 2012, around 5:00pm, a 30 year old man was asleep in his residence at 2704 Ann Drive, when he heard  knocking on his door. He looked outside and did not see anyone. But, he heard a noise inside of his house.

Taivaun Bell

He walked out of his bedroom and saw a man standing in house. The man immediately fled and was found a short time later walking on Bell Road by Clarksville Police Officer Shawn Brown.

The man, identified as Taivaun Bell, had already changed clothes, but met the physical description of the man who had been inside of the Ann Drive residence. The victim also positively identified Bell as the individual he saw in his home.

Additionally, when K-9 Officer Ben Blackmon was called to the area, his Police Dog tracked from the Ann Drive residence to the area Bell was located.

Bell had plead guilty to two counts of Aggravated Burglary on May 18th, 2012 and released on his own recognizance the same day. He was scheduled for sentencing on July 11th, 2012.

Additionally, he was a juvenile and transferred to adult status for the previous charges. He turned 18 two days before he was caught committing the latest Aggravated Burglary.
