Fort Campbell, KY – D.W. Recreation Center has some fun activities planned for June.
On June 3rd, DW Recreation Center will be holding Talent Tryouts at 3:00pm. They’re looking for all types of talented Soldiers and adult Family members to be in a variety show in August. If you or someone you know is talented (sing, dance, play a musical instrument, etc…) encourage them to come for the Talent Tryouts.
On June 10th there will be a Post Wide Spades Tournament at 2:00pm. This tournament is open to all eligible MWR patrons. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.
“Run For Your Wife” play tryouts will be held on June 18th & 19th at 7:00pm. This play is a British farce surrounding a cab driver and what happens when he tries to keep his two wives from running into each other. Needed are two women and six men; as well as lighting, sound and backstage help. Play will be performed the last weekend of July and the first weekend of August.
A Call of Duty MW3 Tournament will be held on July 24th at 2:00pm. This tournament is open to all eligible MWR participants ages 18 and over. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers.
DW Rec. is committed to providing Soldiers and Families a quality of life that is commensurate with their service through quality Recreation, Travel and Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS) programs and services. The BOSS program is proudly sponsored by USAA. The DW Recreation Center is located at 6145 Desert Storm Avenue. All eligible participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who remains present the entire time.
