Army Family Team Building Night Owl Classes

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – If you want to take the Army Family Team Building (AFTB) classes but haven’t been able to work it into your schedule then the AFTB Night Owl Classes are what you’ve been looking for.

AFTB Level 1 will be offered on September 10th, 11th and 12th; Level 2 on September 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th; and Level 3 on October 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th. All classes will be held from 5:30pm until 8:30pm at the Family Resource Center.


AFTB Level 1 is designed to introduce individuals to the Army way of life. Topics covered include tips on developing realistic expectations, military acronyms and terms, understanding the Chain of Command, military customs and courtesies, basic military benefits, and introduction to military and civilian community resources.

AFTB Level 2 is a personal growth course and discusses topics such as communication, personal time management, stress management, team dynamics, personal conflict management, creative problem solving and crisis coping and grieving.

AFTB Level 3 further explores professional development and is highly recommended for future leaders. Students will learn about communication skills for leaders, leadership styles, building cohesive teams, managing group conflict, meeting management and coaching and mentoring.

In addition, AFTB will introduce participants to the Family Readiness Group (FRG), Family Financial Readiness, and much more.

Childcare will be provided by Army Community Services (ACS).  Children must be registered with Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) prior to enrollment and reservations for childcare close one week prior to class.
