Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan alerts Clarksville residents of Email Scam

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has been alerted to an email scam in circulation. The email message is sent from “Message Center” and uses “Clarksville Gas and Water” in the subject line and in the message. The message states that the recipient has been issued a free gift card.

Clarksville Gas and Water will never instruct you to click on a link to accept or redeem rewards or ask for personal information in an unsolicited e-mail.

Please be aware that opening this e-mail, or any suspicious e-mails, is risky. For example, opening a scam e-mail such as this could unleash a computer virus or result in identity theft. For your safety, do not follow instructions contained in the email or click on any website addresses or links contained in the e-mail.

Instead, please immediately report suspicious e-mails or solicitations claiming to be from Clarksville Gas and Water to the Department at abuse@clarksvillegw.com or by calling the main office at 931.645.7400.
