Volunteer for Riverfest

RiverFest 2012Clarksville Parks & Recreation to offer a prize to volunteers for Riverfest 2012

Why not celebrate the 25th anniversary of Clarksville Riverfest by giving back and possibly win prize money for your group or organization?  Volunteers are being sought to help with soft drink sales, the Adventure Zone children’s area, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee, as well as the Cornhole Tournament on September 7 and 8 at McGregor Park.  The group or organization who registers the most volunteers through Hands On Clarksville by August 31 will receive $500.

In order to be eligible for the $500 prize, volunteers must abide the following criteria:

  • Volunteers must list their group or organization name under the “Team Name” portion during registration.
  • Volunteers must be registered no later than August 31.
  • Volunteers must sign in the day-of the event, work their scheduled hours and sign out after their shift in order for their hours to count towards the contest.
  • Volunteers must register through the Hands On Clarksville website.

Individuals are allowed to volunteer their time in honor of a group or organization.  They must follow the same criteria.  Winner of the contest will be announced September 13.

The registration process is simple, visit www.hon.org and search “Riverfest.”  Volunteers may then select the area in which they would like to volunteer and then select the timeslot occurrence that best fits their schedule.
