Fort Campbell’s ODR Challenge Course Complex Offers Group Activities

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – You’ve seen it outside Gate 10 in the Outdoor Recreation Area.  It’s the giant jungle gym.  We call it the “Challenge Course Complex”.

The Challenge Course Complex consists of five different elements, each with its own challenge.  The Carolina T-Wall sits just shy of 50 feet and had 8 different faces simulating a realistic style of rock climbing.

The Alpine Tower, shaped like an hour glass, is a vertical 50 foot tall obstacle course.

Participants will work in teams or by themselves to ascend the many cargo nets, ropes, poles and hanging ladders. The Giants Swing, attached to the Alpine Tower, lets groups use pulleys and cables to lift individuals to a height of 30 feet before being released to a controlled fall/swing.

The Low Ropes Course consists of many unique challenges including the notable Team Development Course. The Odyssey Course is the largest structure and an ideal adult jungle gym.

With cargo nets, zip lines, sliding platforms, and cables suspended in mid-air, individuals have the opportunity to work by themselves or in teams to traverse from one side to the other.

The staff at the Outdoor Recreation Challenge Course Complex will work with any group of any age for programs such as:  team building, fun adventure days, PT, birthday parties, recreation therapy, or anything else you can think of.

So if you have a church group, school group, scout troop, sports team, or you’re in a Family Readiness Group, active duty unit, college class, veterans group – any group at all – contact Outdoor Recreation and let them set up a Challenge Course Complex program, specially designed just for you.

For more information about the Challenge Course Complex, please call Outdoor Recreation at 270.412.7855.
