Movies in the Park Double Feature this Saturday featuring “The Princess Bride” and “The Goonies”

Movies in the ParkClarksville, TN – Join Clarksville Parks and Recreation Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at Heritage Park Soccer fields for this month’s Movies in the Park event, featuring two movies from the 80’s.

“The Princess Bride” is scheduled to begin around 7:20pm, followed by “The Goonies” around 9:00pm. Both movies are rated PG.

“The Princess Bride” is a classic fairy tale, with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, and a beautiful princess as read by a kindly grandfather.

“The Goonies” is about a group of kids embarking on a wild adventure after finding a pirate treasure map.

Arrive early to save your spot and check out this year’s new wellness feature, “Move Before the Movies,” presented by Clarksville Parks & Recreation, the YMCA of Clarksville, and the Mayor’s Fitness Council. An hour before the first movie begins; Zumba will be featured along with stretching exercises between the movies.

Be sure to bring your picnic blankets and lawn chairs.  As always, you are welcome to bring your picnic basket, but concessions will be available. Sorry no pets allowed.

Can’t make it to this event? Mark your calendars for the final movie of the 2012 series, Saturday, September 15th, featuring the popular new release, “The Hunger Games” – rated PG-13.
