Tennessee Department of Transportation Maintenance Work for Montgomery County area starting September 3rd, 2012

Tennessee Department of TransportationNashville, TN – From Tuesday September 4th through Wednesday September 5th, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 14 mile marker to the 32 mile for chemical control of vegetation.

This will be a moving operation.

Montgomery County and Houston County

From Tuesday, September 4th through Wednesday, September 5th, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be temporary lane closures for milling and paving bridge ends in Houston and Montgomery Counties at the following locations:

  • State Route 149 Montgomery County at 1.53 mile marker
  • State Route 149 Houston County at 0.06 mile marker
  • State Route 149 Houston County at 0.65 mile marker
  • State Route 149 Houston County at 0.83 mile marker

TDOT Maintenance – Middle Tennessee

From Tuesday September 4th through Wednesday September 5th, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Houston County

From Tuesday September 4th through Wednesday September 5th, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts in Houston County at the following locations:

State Route 46

  • 2.0 Mile Marker to 3.0 Mile Marker
  • 5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker
  • 7.0 Mile Marker to 8.0 Mile Marker

Davidson County

All Interstates

  • From Tuesday September 4th through Wednesday September 5th, 9:00am-3:00pm and 7:00pm-1:00am, there will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open.

Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • From Tuesday September 4th and Wednesday September 5th, 8:00pm-6:00am, there will be alternating closures on West End Avenue over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.

Bridge Construction on Gallatin Road over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • From Tuesday September 4th through Wednesday September 5th, 9:00am-3:00pm, there will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • From Tuesday September 4th through Wednesday September 5th, 8:00pm-6:00am, there will be alternating lane closures on I-24 for painting operations.

Bridge Repair on 3rd Avenue over I-65

  • From Tuesday September 4th and Wednesday September 5th, 9:00pm-5:00am, there will be alternating lane closures on I-65 southbound for bridge repairs.  One lane will remain open.
  • From now through April 2013, Third Avenue Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

Bridge Construction on Dickerson Road over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Road to Robert Cartwright Drive in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

Resurfacing on Briley Parkway. From Mashburn Road to Glastonbury Road.

  • Tuesday September 4th and Wednesday September 5th, 8:00pm-6:00am, there will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.

Resurfacing on US 70S from West of I-40 (LM 5.2) to SR 100 (LM 10.9)

  • From Tuesday September 4th and Wednesday September 5th, 8:00pm-6:00am, there will be alternating lane closures for casting adjustments and milling on US 70S.

Davidson County and Sumner County

Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Boulevard.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Avenue south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette Street intersection in order to construct roundabout.
