Austin Peay Tennis hosts Fall Invitational this weekend

 

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Tennis

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men and women’s tennis teams will host the Austin Peay Fall Invitational, beginning Friday at 2:00pm; the event continues from 8:30am-6:00pm, Saturday and from 8:30am to noon, Sunday. The men will play at the Swan Lake Tennis Complex, while the women will take the outdoor courts on Austin Peay’s campus.

The women’s draw features four flights, with a consolation bracket. The men’s draw and both doubles events have three flights and consolation draws.

City of Clarksville update on College Street road closure

Austin Peay Lady Govs Soccer faces UT Martin and Southeast Missouri in season’s first OVC road trip

The Lady Govs travel to UT Martin for a 7:00pm, Friday, showdown before concluding the short Ohio Valley Conference road trip at 2:00pm, Sunday, at Southeast Missouri.

Exhibit at Monthaven Mansion to benefit Backpack program

 

Hendersonville Arts CouncilHendersonville, TN – The suite of paintings presented by artist Terri Jordan at the Monthaven Mansion this October brings together her signature women with decorative backdrops of rich pigments. Jordan’s modern day girls are enveloped in vintage looking wallpaper patterns; which adds a sense of vulnerability to their otherwise strong presence.

Austin Peay State University to host Etcetera art exhibit October 8th

Clarksville Police need Assistance Identifying a Commercial Burglary Suspect that took His Dog along for the Ride

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to identify the man who broke into a commercial business at the 2400 Block of Ashland City Road and took his dog along for the ride.

The man broke the glass door, made entry, and stole some items from inside of the business. He attempted to steal the ATM machine, but was unsuccessful. The commercial burglary occurred September 23rd, 2012, around 4:00am.

“Bowl-a-Thon” for Empty Bowls to be hosted by Hands on Clarksville, Professor Ken Shipley and APSU Ceramics Department October 6th, 2012

Clarksville Parks and Recreation reports Trice Landing Park to Close Temporarily

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Trice Landing Park, located at 99 Oak Street, will be closed to the public beginning Thursday, September 27th, 2012 through Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012, for a sewer main replacement.

The park will reopen to the public at dawn on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012.
