Chattanooga, TN – In its second trip to Moccasin Bend this season, Austin Peay State University men’s cross country team placed fifth at Saturday’s Front Runner Invitational, hosted by Chattanooga.
Event Will Help Commemorate Tennessee State Parks’ 75th Anniversary
Nashville, TN – The year 2012 marks Tennessee State Parks’ 75th Anniversary, and to help commemorate this important milestone, Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park will host its annual Tennessee’s History Festival October 19th-20th.
With a focus on Tennessee’s 216 years of statehood, the event blends education and entertainment, allowing school groups and families to experience day-to-day soldier life in history. In year’s past, the festival has drawn more than 6,000 visitors to the park.

Richmond, KY – No. 23 Eastern Kentucky University jumped out to a 21-0 first-half lead and was never headed as it defeated Austin Peay State University, 45-14, Saturday, in Ohio Valley Conference football action at Roy Kidd Stadium
The victory improved the Colonels, the OVC preseason favorite and defending co-champs, to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the league.

Chattanooga, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s cross country team got two top-10 finishes in its return trip to Chattanooga at Saturday’s Front Runner Invitational. The Lady Govs finished fourth out of six squads in the two-mile race, with host Chattanooga taking the overall team title.
Earth Science Week Toolkits Available to Teachers Across the State
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam has proclaimed October 14th-20th Earth Science Week in Tennessee, promoting the important role that geology and other earth sciences play in Tennessee’s safety, health, welfare and economy.
