I’ve been reading a lot lately about people who are not going to vote or who are going to vote specifically for someone other than the two main nominees for US President. That is where this all comes from…
The reason we vote, friends, is to nominate who we feel will be the best leader and manager of our country’s affairs. This is just like a company promoting someone within to CEO/President. If you are an employee of a company and are asked to nominate the next CEO (yes, I know they’re nominated by votes by the board of directors – just bear with me here), you know that whomever you select will be directly responsible for the economics of your household; income, insurance, cost of living, etc. There are other variables, of course, but that sums it up.
To not vote is to say that you’re ok with a possible reduction in pay, reduction in rights and that your opinion does not matter to the company. To say you’re voting for someone other than the two people applying for the top management position is to say that you don’t want your vote to count – because, in the end, it won’t matter HOW you vote if you DON’T vote for one of the two applying for the job. To vote for the mail guy on 3rd floor, who may be a good person, or you have a good bible study with him or something, would simply be foolish – the mail guy is NOT going to be CEO. While the mail guy may have some good ideas, let him promote a bit first, and then maybe, during the next promotion cycle, the mail guy will be up for the main job. But, for now, let it go already.
For those of you who are refraining from voting in November because you think it violates your convictions, I ask you to reconsider. Your spiritual convictions are your personal convictions, whether you’re Christian, Mormon, Muslim, whatever. The president has no control or influence over your faith. My personal belief of who can best save our politically correct, Godless country is summed up here in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” There is but one Savior. We need to pray to God to turn around our Godless country – every aspect of it.
Just so my Facebook friends know, I’m voting for Romney. Alright, relax. You saw it coming. :)
Do I think God is going to say to me “I can’t believe you voted for a Mormon!” Nope – I don’t believe that at all. I know he’s not a Christian, but I already have a Savior – Jesus Christ.
Is Romney going to go to hell because he’s a Mormon? Maybe. Is Obama going to go to hell because he thinks it’s OK for women to mutilate a baby if they’re not going to be responsible, or, that he thinks it’s OK for men to have sex with men? Maybe. God is Judge and Jury for both of those questions. I’m not voting for a savior, a spiritual leader, or someone that I think will save the US from its Godless ways. My spiritual convictions have not changed at all. My hope is in Him, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
I’m voting for who I believe will be the best LEADER and CEO of our country. I know it’s not Obama – his time for hope and change has come and gone, and we’re only worse off as a nation because of his policies and socialist agenda. Friends, I do pray for our current president, but mostly, I pray for our country to see the light and vote him out of our country’s top management position. It’s time for him to go.
That’s all I have to say about this for now. Time for dinner. :)
