Planters Bank names new Officers, Dan Billingsley and Derrick Quarles

Dan Billingsley to serve as VP/senior Credit Analyst and Derrick Quarles will serve as Banking Officer

Planters BankHopkinsville, KY – Planters Bank announces the addition of Dan Billingsley as vice president/senior credit analyst and Derrick Quarles as banking officer.

Billingsley brings more than 20 years of banking experience to Planters, where he will manage the credit department. He most recently worked as senior portfolio manager for commercial banking at First Tennessee Bank.

He is a 1990 graduate of David Lipscomb University with a B.S. in Finance/Economics.

Billingsley is an active member at Dalewood Baptist Church in Nashville, TN, where he is a deacon, on the finance committee and in the choir. He is also involved in the church’s Celebrate Recovery program. He is married and has two preschool-aged children.

Billingsley will split time equally between Clarksville and Hopkinsville.

As banking officer, Quarles’ primary role will be consumer lending. The Hopkinsville native joined Planters from Martinrea International, where he worked as a quality technician for the past 12 years. He received a B.A. in Business Administration with a marketing emphasis from Transylvania University in 1996.

Quarles graduated from University Heights Academy (UHA) in 1992, where he was a member of the KHSAA boys’ state championship basketball team. He currently serves as UHA’s assistant boys’ basketball coach. He is currently stationed at the 4195 Fort Campbell Boulevard branch in Hopkinsville, KY.

Founded in 1996, Planters Bank maintains three offices, including its headquarters, in Hopkinsville, KY, and five offices plus a mortgage office in Clarksville, Tennessee. The bank recently announced plans to acquire five branches of Old National Bank in Western Kentucky.
