President Barack Obama declares Monday, Christmas Eve a Federal Holiday

Blanchfield Army Community Hospital closed for new federal holiday

Blanchfield Army Hospital - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – President Barack Obama declared Monday, December 24th, Christmas Eve, as a federal holiday to allow federal employees to spend the holidays with their loved ones.

In light of this, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital will be closed December 24th and December 25th for the two federal holidays. This includes all primary care clinics, medical homes and auxiliary services like laboratory and pharmacy.

BACH staff members have worked diligently to call patients with appointments for Monday to help them reschedule for a new time at their convenience.

Patients with scheduled appointments who have not been contacted should keep their appointments. For example, babies recently born at BACH should still be seen for their previously scheduled “three to five day visit” in the Young Eagle Clinic.

All BACH pharmacies will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the federal holidays and will reopen Wednesday.

The Emergency Center will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide acute and emergency medical care.

New Year’s Day Holiday Schedule

In honor of New Year’s Day, (BACH) personnel will observe the federal Tuesday, January 1st, therefore all clinics and pharmacies will be closed. The Emergency Center will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide acute and emergency medical care.

Although some patient services will be condensed during the upcoming Day of No Scheduled Activity (DONSA) Monday, December 31st, patients will be able to receive medical care during scheduled appointments or through telephone consultations by calling the BACH Call Center.

All Soldier health clinics, including LaPointe, Aviation and Byrd’s Lifeliner and Thunder clinics, will be closed during the DONSAs. Patients assigned to the Blue Clinic, the Screaming Eagle Medical Home and the Byrd Family Care Clinic with appointments scheduled for the DONSAs will be seen in BACH’s Blue Clinic. Patients assigned to the Young Eagle and Well Baby clinics will be seen in the Young Eagle Clinic. Gold Medical Home patients will be seen in their assigned clinic.

BACH’s Call Center will be open December 31st from 6:00am until 4:00pm to schedule or cancel appointments. Appointments may also be scheduled or canceled 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.TRICAREonline.com. Some medical concerns may be resolved through a telephone consultation by contacting the Call Center at 270.798.4677 or 931.431.4677.

The Main Pharmacy within the hospital will be closed during the New Year’s Eve DONSA; however the Town Center Pharmacy will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm. To ensure all prescriptions can be filled, the last pharmacy window ticket will be given at 4:45pm.
