Clarksville Academy teacher to attend Presidential Inauguration

Clarksville AcademyClarksville, TN – A Clarksville teacher will be getting the trip of a lifetime as she attends President Barack Obama’s inauguration.

Kimberly Goad is a sixth grade teacher at the Clarksville Academy, and was selected from a national field of educators to attend this year’s event.  Goad will attend the presidential inaugural conference in Washington D.C., and will act as a faculty advisor for middle school students traveling to this prestigious event.  Goad was chosen by the National Young Scholars Program.

She will have a four day training period, and will lead a group of high achieving middle school scholars traveling to the nation’s capital for this unique and extraordinary opportunity.  Goad will be responsible for helping these young people explore the presidency, the presidential campaign, and take part in the excitement and celebration of the Presidential Inauguration.

The Presidential Inaugural Conference is a non-partisan educational event that’s held in Washington D.C., for middle school and high school students, every four years.
