Clarksville Police report shots fired at vehicle injuries Two Women

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On January 18th, 2013, around 1:45am, two men, both 21 years of age, and two women, both 18 years of age, left a club at 1348 College Street in a Nissan Altima when fighting broke out at the club.  Clarksville Police had been called to the scene and several arrests were made.

The Nissan was traveling west on Kraft Street when a Buick Lesabre pulled into the oncoming lane of travel next to the vehicle, and rounds were fired from the front passenger window into the Nissan.

The two women sitting in the backseat were hit by gunfire; one was struck in the leg and the other was struck in the knee. The Lesabre sped off heading toward College Street.

The driver of the Nissan pulled over into a motel parking lot on Kraft Street, googled Gateway Medical Center, headed to the hospital, and 911 was called in reference to the shooting.

Police intercepted the victims’ vehicle on Dunlop Lane. The woman shot in the knee was evaluated at the hospital and released. The woman shot in the leg was taken to Gateway and then transferred by ambulance to Vanderbilt.

According to the victims, they did not know the occupants in the LeSabre. Also, the exact location on Kraft Street where the shooting took place is still being determined, but may have been around the 800 block.

The LeSabre was described as a 1998-2001, dark colored, possibly black, green, or dark grey. We have no suspect description to release at this time.
