Ski, Climb, Hike and Bike with Fort Campbell’s Outdoor Recreation in February

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – February may be the shortest month of the year but Outdoor Recreation Adventure Programs didn’t let that stop them from planning some great activities!

They start the month of February with a Paoli Peaks Ski Trip on February 2nd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Ages 14 and above are invited to join them for this fun filled day trip. The fee to participate includes your transportation, equipment, and lift ticket. The cost is $90.00 if you need equipment and $70 if you have your own quipment.

Located in Paoli, Indiana; Paoli Peaks offers 15 trails ranging from beginner to hard terrain, two terrain parks and up to nine lanes for Snow Tubing. Preregistration is required by 4:00pm on January 30th. They will be making another Paoli Peaks Ski Trip on February 23rd. All details remain the same with preregistration required by 4:00pm on February 20th.

On February 9th they will be taking a Kings Bluff Climbing Trip from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The cost is $35.00 and ages 12 and up may participate. Kings Bluff is a scenic two mile crag located just 15 minutes from post.  Transportation and equipment is provided. The trip is geared towards beginners so all are welcome. Preregistration is required by 4:00pm on February 7th.

Ages 14 and over are invited to join them for a day of Chickasaw Trace Mountain Biking on February 10th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Chickasaw Trace is a small 300 acre park, bordering the Duck River just southwest of Nashville.  It may be small but is has some of the best mountain biking in Middle Tennessee; with something to offer cyclists of all levels of experience. The cost is $25.00 and transportation and equipment are provided. Preregistration is required by 4:00pm on February 8th.

Take a Bridgestone Wilderness Hike on February 17th from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Once called the “Grand Canyon of the Cumberlands”, Bridgestone/Firestone Centennial Wilderness is a 10,000 acre Wildlife Management Area. The 26 miles of trails are rated moderate to difficult. The cost is $25.00 and ages 12 and above may participate.  Transportation will be provided. Preregistration is required by 4:00pm on February 15th.

Upcoming trips to look forward to are a Kings Bluff Rock Climbing Trip, Fall Creek Falls Day Hike, and a Chickasaw Mountain Biking Trip.
