The Police Department was fortunate enough during the latest update to their training, through the generosity of Workforce Essentials and Madison Street Church of Christ, to use a building which offered a large space, multiple rooms, hallways, and could be virtually configured for the most common environments which an officer would respond to.

Simulations were used during the training scenarios.

CPD’s training division with Erett Oden, Rudy Castro, Eddie Chancellor, Robert Miller and Scott Beaubien worked around the clock to provide officers, from all shifts, the most up to date training for active shooter situations which could involve entry of single or multiple officers making entry during the initial response.
