Clarksville, TN – Junior first baseman Craig Massoni, of the Austin Peay State University baseball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
The Danville, CA, native hit .385 in three games last week, adding a home run and seven RBI. Much of Massoni’s damage came in his monstrous 3-for-4, six-RBI outing against Southern Illinois, Tuesday. Each of his hits drove in two Governor runs in an 11-8 victory.

Clarksville Police reports Man steals Large Amount of Money after Locking Delivery Men in the back of the Truck
Clarksville, TN – Two men were caught by surprise when they were locked in the back of their delivery truck and had the company’s money stolen out of the cab.
On March 3rd, 2013 around 1:30pm, a food company was making a delivery to Chopsticks, 1715 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The delivery men were inside of the back of the truck when a white male crawled underneath the truck and pulled the rear door down trapping them inside.

Parwan Province, Afghanistan — The casing ceremony for the outgoing 1st Infantry Division headquarters battalion and the uncasing ceremony for the incoming 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) headquarters battalion, took place at Bagram Airfield, February 28th.
With its battalion colors cased, the 1st Infantry Division headquarters battalion continues its redeployment to Kansas, while the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) headquarters battalion begins its latest rendezvous with destiny.

After his Governors Golf team shot a disappointing 295 first-round Monday score in the Harmony Golf Preserve Intercollegiate, the Govs golf coach said: “If we can cut into that lead tomorrow, it will give us a chance on Wednesday…second rounds typically have been our better rounds.”
Knoxville, TN – Tennessee Lady Volunteer basketball player, and former Clarksville High School stand-out Bashaara Graves has been named the SEC Freshman of the Year it was announced today.
Graves, a 6-2 forward/center, became the program’s eighth SEC Freshman of the Year. She joins Angie Bjorklund (2008), Tamika Catchings (1998), Bridgette Gordon (1986), Dena Head (1989), Chamique Holdsclaw (1996), Candace Parker (2006) and Meighan Simmons (2011). She also follows the path of Catchings, Gordon, Holdsclaw and Parker as the only five Tennessee rookies to make the Coaches All-SEC First Team.
