Tennessee Housing Development Agency announces Emergency Solutions Grant for the City of Clarksville
Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Representative Joe Pitts (D-Clarksville) is the sponsor of House Bill 0422 (Senate Bill 493), which would expedite issuance of certain professional licenses and temporarily extend certain licenses for active duty personnel that were deployed when their licenses came due for renewal cleared two committees this week.
“The bill provides a clear process for professional license renewal when our active duty military personnel are deployed at the time of that renewal,” Pitts said. The bill will be heard on the House Floor on Monday, March 11th.

Fort Campbell, KY – Strike Zone is an Army TV show telling the stories of the 101st Airborne Division and the Strike Brigade, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Each episode has video stories, music montage and segments informing its audience of the famous Black Heart Soldiers.

Tennessee Department of Transportation provides $4.4 Million for Infrastructure and Other Improvements to 15 Tennessee Airports
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) announced friday that state aeronautics grants totaling $4,413,873 have been approved for fifteen Tennessee airports.

Competition to be held May 18th
Clarksville, TN – Young athletes can showcase their skills in track, long jump and softball throw in the 2013 Hershey Track & Field competition. This program is open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14 in the Clarksville-Montgomery County area.
