Fort Campbell’s Estep Wellness Center to offer Boot Camp Xtreme

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Have you been looking for a fitness program that will offer you an intense mix of cardio, strength and agility; that will push you to dig deep?

If this sounds like the program you need then hurry down to Estep Wellness Center and sign-up for Boot Camp Xtreme.  Estep’s staff has collaborated with other Family and MWR recreational activities to build an amazing program that will invigorate the body and mind.

Campers must prepare themselves for insane track workouts, crazy circuits, innovative exercises set in unexpected places such as playgrounds, the track, the Challenge Course and more.  Build camaraderie by pushing yourself to the max with others that will hold you accountable and help you reach your personal goals.

Boot Camp Xtreme will be held from April 22nd through May 22nd and will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30am until 11:30am (unless otherwise stated). Sessions will be held at a variety of on-post locations such as:  Wickham Trail, Clarksville Base, and Outdoor Recreation Challenge Course Complex; just to name a few. Don’t worry; your instructor will make sure you know where to be for your next session.  Orientation will be at Estep on Friday April 19th at 1:00pm.

The cost for this incredible program is $100.00 and that includes an initial assessment of your physical fitness abilities and another assessment at the end of Boot Camp so you can track your improvement. This will be a basic fitness assessment based on run, pushups, and sit-ups.

You will also receive one free fitness class of your choice at Estep Wellness Center each week of class (total of five free sessions any day, any time), an “I Survived Boot Camp Xtreme” @ Estep Wellness Center T-shirt, and a MWR goody bag. One lucky camper will receive a free month membership at Estep Wellness Center.

Boot Camp Xtreme will be held outside!  Research shows that exercising outside helps relieve stress – so we’re giving it a try.  Make sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty, bring plenty of water and a small healthy snack.  Minimalist shoes are not recommended unless you are an experienced runner, the track workouts will be intense and your feet will need to be supported.
