Leverages Federal dollars to purchase private health insurance for Tennesseans without access
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam unveiled his plan to pursue real health care reform in the state.
Haslam announced that he will not expand TennCare rolls under the Affordable Care Act but instead is working to leverage the available federal dollars to purchase private health insurance for Tennesseans who would not otherwise have access to coverage.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are asking for the public’s assistance to locate a 17 year old juvenile, Devron R. McWaine, who has been on runaway status from state’s custody since March 2012 and has a juvenile petition on file for Aggravated Assault.
On March 23rd, 2013, Police responded to the area of Commerce and Glenn Street in reference to shots being fired. McWaine was seen getting out a white vehicle and shooting in the direction of a 20 year old man.

Clarksville Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies efforts lead to capture of TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted, Danyon Dowlen
Clarksville, TN – A joint effort between the Clarksville Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S Marshals has lead to the apprehension of one of TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted, Danyon Lydell Dowlen.
On Monday, Clarksville Police Officer, Ryan Steinlage received a citizen tip about Dowlen possibly being in the Evansville, Indiana area and passed the information onto the lead investigator, Detective Demone Chestnut.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team hosts a pair of Ohio Valley Conference matches, this weekend, when Southeast Missouri and UT Martin visit Clarksville.
The Lady Govs host the Redhawks, 11:00am, Friday, before a 1:00pm, Saturday, match against the Skyhawks.
Nashville, TN – The 2013 Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders semifinal auditions presented by Sun Tan City will begin at 9:30am on Saturday, April 20th at Baptist Sports Park.
“I’m eagerly anticipating this season’s tryouts because we have the opportunity to add more vibrant women to our talented squad,” Titans director of cheerleading Stacie Kinder said.
Clarksville, TN – At 6:00pm on April 13th, the Austin Peay State University Nontraditional Student Society (NTSS) will host its second annual Governors Ball in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.

Clarksville, TN – Police are investigating an overnight shooting which occurred around 3:32am outside of The Game Room located at 1352 College Street. There were several people outside of the club when Police arrived, but there was very little information provided to officers.
Based on the information gathered at the scene, the 61 year old man exited the club, a car pulled up and a man jumped out, and demanded the victim’s money. The 61 year old refused to give up his money, at which time, he was shot multiple times. The suspects did not get the victim’s money and fled from the scene in an unknown type vehicle.
Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Super Market will hold their 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30th, 2013. Activities begin at 11:00am and the easter egg hunt will begin at 2:00pm sharp.
There will be inflatables, face painting, cupcake decorating, festivities, games, fun and prizes for children of all ages.
