The Lady Govs two-match win streak was halted when they fell at Murray State, 7-0, Tuesday. At 9-8, sophomore Vanessa Tavares is the lone Lady Gov above .500 at the moment, although she, junior Andra Cornea and sophomores Alison Carre, Ornella Di Salvo and Jovana Karac are at least 5-5 in their last 10 matches. Austin Peay is 6-11 overall, but 3-4 against OVC foes.

Tennessee State (0-8, 0-6 OVC) still seeks its first 2013 victory; the Tigers haven’t picked up a point in six of their eight matches, with London Thomas (No. 2 singles at Morehead State) and Kryston Mason (No. 4 singles versus Graceland University) accounting for Tennessee State’s points this spring. Austin Peay also hosts the Tigers in a 10:30am match, Saturday, that will not count toward the OVC standings.

Belmont (7-7, 3-3 OVC) holds the sixth spot in the OVC as we near the season’s conclusion. The Bruins Carolyn Caire and Natalia Nunes lead Belmont with three conference victories, with Caire predominantly playing No. 3 singles and Nunes residing at No. 4.
