Spc. Robert Fay Jr., an infantryman from Company D, 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division, reunites with his father, Robert Fay, a former Rakkasan, March 27 at a welcome home ceremony at Fort Campbell, Ky. Although not at the ceremony, Fay’s grandfather is also a former Rakkasan, and the three generations of the Fay family have served the elite 187th Infantry Regiment in several wars dating back to the beginning of its history.(U.S. Army photo taken by Sgt.
