Clarksville, TN — Austin Peay State University’s softball team only recorded eight hits and two runs in its doubleheader loss to Eastern Kentucky, on April 7th afternoon at Cheryl Holt Field, by scores of 3-1 and 6-1.

Nashville, TN – House Bill 423/Senate Bill 527 affords private foundations with protections from governmental intrusion
House Bill 0423, sponsored by Tennessee Representative Joe Pitts, adds a new section to the Tennessee Code that would make “private foundation” have the same meaning as it does in section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended.
A private foundation would not be required by state or local government to disclose the sensitive about the foundation’s employees, officers, directors, trustees, or contributors, without the prior written consent of the individual or individuals in question.

Clarksville, TN – Junior first baseman Craig Massoni had three hits and three RBI but it was not enough as Austin Peay State University’s baseball team suffered a 12-4 Ohio Valley Conference loss to Tennessee Tech, Sunday afternoon, at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Nashville Sounds Baseball
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds connected for only five hits Sunday against the New Orleans Zephyrs, who leveled the opening series with the Sounds at two games apiece by defeating the home team, 3-1.
The Sounds plated their only run in the game’s final inning. Sounds left fielder Sean Halton led off in the frame with a double into the left-field corner, advanced to third on a groundout by Stephen Parker and scored on Cole Garner’s groundout to third. That was the extent of any Sounds rally.

Columbia, MO – Coming off two impressive tournament championships in as many weeks, Austin Peay State University men’s golf team will close out its regular-season schedule, Monday and Tuesday, when it travels into mid-Missouri for the Sixth Annual Columbia Orthopaedic Group-Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate, to be played at The Club of Old Hawthorne.
Clarksville, TN – On April 7th, 2013, around 1:40am, a 40 year old woman was driving a Nissan Altima south on Cumberland Drive, lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason, drove the vehicle off the right side of the road, crashed into a retaining wall and came to rest back on the roadway.
The 40 year old female driver and 37 male passenger were taken by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Clarksville Gas and Water Department announces Pine Mountain and Shiloh Road Water Main Installation

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water will begin a two week water main line improvement project on Monday, April 8th, on Pine Mountain and Shiloh roads.
Construction crews will work daily from 8:00am until 3:30pm to replace a two-inch water main line with a six-inch line beginning at the intersection of Shiloh Road and Howell Drive and on Pine Mountain Road from Shiloh Road to Howell. «Read the rest of this article»
Police are investigating an overnight shooting which resulted in the death of a 32 year old woman.
Clarksville, TN – On April 7th, 2013, around 3:22am, Clarksville Police responded to a shooting in progress in the area of Lincoln Drive.
When Police arrived, they found a 32 year old woman, who had been shot, laying on the ground between the 26 and 27 Bldgs on Lincoln Drive. The woman was transported from the scene to Gateway Medical Center where she was pronounced dead after 4:00am. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville city council met in its usual first Thursday of the month, April 4th, regular session. It was a short, but potent agenda that lasted for a couple of hours.
