Northwest High School Baseball beats Springfield 14-0

Northwest High SchoolClarksville, TN – Northwest High School exploded for 8 runs in the 2nd inning to defeat Springfield 14 – 0 Monday night at Riley Martin Field.

Adam Caver had an RBI double to give the Vikings a 1 – 0 lead after the 1st inning. Zach Dixon lead off the 2nd by blasting a solo homerun and later in the inning Ty Haston added a 3 run homer, his 5th of the season, to expand the lead to 9 – 0.

Isaac Masters pitched a one-hitter to pick up his first win of the season.  Caver finished 3 for 4 at the plate.

Northwest improved to 11-4 overall, 3-2 in the district while Springfield is 6-13 overall, 0 – 5 in the district.

Northwest will travel to Paris, TN today to face Henry County in a district contest.
