Rivers and Spires Event Schedule Updated
Clarksville, TN – The 2013 Rivers and Spires Festival tonight will kick off sooner than expected due to a storm expected to roll in later this evening. The festival will began at 4:30pm instead of the 5:30pm time listed on the schedule.
Bands will play one hour to an hour and a half earlier than planned. There are going to be some outstanding bands performing tonight that you do not want to miss.
Local cover band, Uncle Lenny will kick things off at 4:30pm on the Public Square Stage. Their music variety ranges from rock, to country, to some blues.Cowboy Mouth is tonights headliner. They will be on the Public Square Stage at 7:00pm. Crowd participation is a must at a Cowboy Mouth show. The bands performances are high-energy and extraordinarily intense, usually leaving audiences as drenched and spent as the band.
According to their website, “The term ‘Cowboy Mouth’ has been used in the poetry of Shakespeare and Bob Dylan as well as a play by Patti Smith and Sam Shepard. Usually meaning One with a loud and raucous voice, it describes the band well.”
With over 2500 concerts under their belt and many years of reviews lauding their live show, there is still one quote which best captures their show….. “…on a bad night they’ll tear the roof off the joint and on a good night, they’ll save your soul.” Cake Magazine
So get up and come on out tonight for some food and fun at tonight’s River Fest Festival.

Why the festival would book a kick ass band like Cowboy Mouth on a lame ass Thursday(and I have been to many R&S thursdays)is way beyond me.
