Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan joins local club for Wildflower Sign Installation

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan joined members of the Beachaven Garden Club who installed wildflower markers along the Pollard Road Walking Trail in Clarksville.

“These ladies have done a remarkable job of identifying these beautiful wildflowers and marking them along the trail,” said Mayor McMillan. “Most of them will be in full bloom soon and it’s just gorgeous along the trail.”

The Club’s members previous marked many of the flowers before. The markers they used have faded so they have made new markers that are designed to be easier to read and better survive the elements.

“It has taken hours for the members of the club to identify the wildflowers, design and markers and place them in the appropriate places on the trail. I appreciate their hard work which was done solely for the beautification of Clarksville and the enjoyment of our citizens,” said Mayor McMillan.

The Greenway Trail begins at 1101 Pollard Road in Clarksville.
