Clarksville, TN – Next week, CareHere! will offer City of Clarksville employees the opportunity to become familiar with the new Employee Health and Wellness Center and the specific services that will be offered.
CareHere! was chosen as the company that will manage these services for the City.
CareHere! will offer a series of presentations throughout the week of April 29th, 2013. City employees are encouraged to attend one of the sessions.
“We want our employees to be ready to access these services as soon as the doors are open,” said Will Wyatt, Director of Human Resources for the City of Clarksville. “We want them to know how to sign up, create an account and take charge of their own health and wellness as soon as possible. These informational sessions are really one of the last steps before the center opens. Right now, we’re on schedule for seeing patients by mid-May.”
All full-time regular employees of the City of Clarksville are eligible to receive services from the Center as are their dependents covered under the current Aetna health insurance plan. All City of Clarksville retirees are also eligible; however retiree dependents are not included at this time.
“This Center is the right thing to do for so many reasons,” said Mayor McMillan. “It saves money for our employees and the City which ultimately is a savings to the taxpayers. It allows employees more options for their families. And the services offered include much more than wellness checkups (which are certainly important). Many generic prescriptions will be available for free, health and wellness coaching is available on an ongoing basis, and there is a nurse available for questions all day, every day. I’m very proud to offer this new service to our employees because they deserve the very best we can offer them.”
