Tennessee Titans took Missouri linebacker Zaviar Gooden with the 97th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft

Tennessee TitansZaviar GoodenNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans selected Missouri linebacker Zaviar Gooden in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the 97th overall pick.

At 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, Gooden is a speedy linebacker who can quickly attack and close in a hurry. He has good sight and can follow play action to help take away the flat from runningbacks. He is aggressive and can make the open field tackles.

In the NFL Combine, he ran the 40 yard dash* in 4.47 seconds, did 27 reps on the bench press*, had a 34 inch vertical jump, did a 131 inch broad jump*, 6.71 second three cone drill*, 4.18 seconds in 20 yard shuttle *and 11.28 seconds in the 60 TD shuttle*. *Top Combine Performer.

Gooden’s hometown is Pflugerville, TX. He went to Pflogerville High School.

Gooden was named 2012 Team Captain for the Missouri Tigers. He had 61 totals tackles in 2012, 36 of them being solo. He played in 10 of 13 games with Mizzou in 2012. He played in all 13 games in 2011.
