Nashville, TN – At 8:34pm CDT, National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall continuing to impact Stewart County and the rest of the warned area. Radar estimates rainfall rates of 2 inches per hour or more are possible in some locations. This will lead to dangerous flash flooding!
Dangerous flash flooding is already occurring in Stewart county. Emergency management officials reported flooding on Highway 49 in the Bear Spring community, Indian Mound Road, Big Rock Road, Joiner Hollow Road, Robertson Hill Road, Wildlife Road, Norris Hancock Road, and Centerpoint Road. Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans added another cornerback in the sixth round, selecting Nevada’s Khalid Wooten with the 202nd overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Austin Peay State University psychology professor Stephen Truhon tapped for Office of Naval Research summer fellow
Clarksville, TN – Dr. Stephen Truhon, associate professor of psychology, has been appointed a fellow in the 2013 Office of Naval Research Summer Faculty Research Program.

Dickson, TN – The Renaissance Center’s Children’s and Adult Choirs have slated their Spring Concerts for Tuesday, May 7th (Children’s Choirs) and Thursday, May 9th (Adult Choirs). Tickets to both concerts are $5.00 and help support the choir programs, which are free to participate.
Tickets may be purchased the night of the events. Both the Children’s and Adult Choirs are directed by Chris Greene with piano accompaniment by Marianna Wakeman.
Doubleheader Scheduled For Sunday At Greer
Nashville, TN – Saturday night’s scheduled 6:35pm game between the Nashville Sounds and Memphis Redbirds at Greer Stadium has been postponed due to rain.
The teams will make up the game as part of a 2:05pm CT doubleheader on Sunday afternoon (April 28) at Greer, when the two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games. Gates open at 1:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – On May 10th and 11th 2013, Hilltop Super Market will hold their 4th annual BBQ Cook Off. There will be cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishing teams per category as well as trophy prizes. There will also be a Grand Champion.
Team sign ups are going on now. The Categories are ribs, chicken, pork and brisket.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans has selected LSU defensive lineman Lavar Edwards in the 5th round of the 2013 NFL Draft with the 142nd overall pick.

Tennessee Titans select California Offensive Lineman Brian Schwenke in Fourth Round of 2013 NFL Draft
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans started the final day of the 2013 NFL Draft by adding another offensive lineman with the 107th overall pick in the fourth round.
