Golden Pond, KY – Experience River Days Memorial Day Weekend, May 25th-27th, at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. Enjoy water-themed activities at Woodlands Nature Station.
River Days has activities and events for all ages. Unless otherwise noted, all programs are free with paid Nature Station admission ($5.00 ages 13 & up, $3.00 ages 5-12, free ages 4 & under).
According to Darrin Samborski, Environmental Education Specialist at LBL, “Visitors can experience a variety of programs focusing on natural encounters with wetland wildlife and habitat conservation. People will learn about animals that make rivers and lakes their homes.” Samborski added, “There will be onsite programs, crafts, and excursions on the water. Bring sunscreen, picnic baskets, and for certain activities, clothes and shoes that you can get wet and muddy.”Events Include

The canoe and kayak trips require reservations and full deposits. For more details or to make reservations, call 270.924.2020 weekdays, 8:00am to 4:30pm. LBL is located approximately 90 miles northwest of Nashville, TN. There are several options for overnight accommodations; camping is available at LBL and at private campgrounds in the area. Lodging is also available at state resort parks, motels, and private resorts in the surrounding area.
