Grey will be in lane eight of the second heat, against foes both familiar – she’s raced against Ohio State’s Janel Olberding (Lane Three), Tennessee’s Najgia Snapp (Lane Four) and Western Michigan’s Aisha Hodge (Lane Seven) in 2013) – and formidable. Georgetown’s Chelsea Cox (sixth, Lane One) and Snapp (seventh) enter the meet ranked in the top 10 regionally.
Last season, Grey finished 43rd in the preliminary round at North Florida’s Hodges Stadium with a 2:12.64; Grey has not had a time higher than 2:11 in her last three meets, and has been above 2:10 just three times during outdoor season.

Jones has made a drastic improvement during outdoor season. After a 56.44 time in her first outdoor 400m dash attempt, she’s steadily lowered her times each week before hitting a personal-best 54.44 two weeks ago at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
The first round of competition for both Jones and Grey is scheduled to take place Thursday, with the 400m scheduled for 7:20pm (ET) and the 800m scheduled for 8:10pm (ET).
