City of Clarksville sets times for City Council to Vote on 2014 Budget

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan has set the times for the City Council to vote on Clarksville’s FY 2014 budget.

The Public Hearing and First Reading will be held on June 6th, 2013 at the regularly scheduled council meeting at 7:00pm. The Second Reading will be held on June 27th, 2013 at a Special Called Session immediately following the regularly scheduled Executive Session at 4:30pm.

“I know Council Members are scheduling vacation with their families and other events. Holding the voting sessions on these days means that they will not have to make arrangements to attend additional sessions,” said Mayor McMillan. I’ve also heard, including comments made during our Council budget working sessions, that we are very far ahead as far as timing goes. The Council Members have had the budget for some time and we’ve had very informative hearings with the Department Heads. I’m looking forward to getting to the vote so we can continue to help Clarksvillians prosper.”
