The honor follows Rogers’ third-team Louisville Slugger All-America honor as selected by Collegiate Baseball. He becomes the first Governors player to receive multiple All-America honors in the same season.

A 10th-round selection by the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball’s First-Year Player Draft last week, Rogers led Division I with a 23 saves – tying the NCAA single-season record. He also posted a 7-2 record and finished the campaign with a 1.63 ERA.

Rogers was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Pitcher of the Year, the first pitcher who was solely a reliever to earn the league’s top pitching honor.
