American Red Cross Two Rivers Chapter from Clarksville responds to Dickson Fire

Volunteers Assisting Family Members with Emergency Needs

American Red CrossClarksville, TN – Clarksville Red Cross Disaster Action Team members in Dickson and Montgomery Counties responded after an overnight fire in Dickson County, to assist 4 families of 15 people with food, shelter, clothing and emotional support.

“We are thankful to our dedicated volunteers who give their time to help our neighbors in need,” said Executive Director, Julie Campos.  “The Red Cross works to bring hope and help to those in our community who are affected by disasters, like this fire, every day.”

At any time of day or night, trained Red Cross volunteers are activated to respond to the scene of home fires and provide food, shelter and emotional support to those affected.  All Red Cross disaster assistance is free to those in need because of the generous donations from the public.

Every year, the Red Cross responds to nearly 70,000 disasters ranging from a home fire involving one family to larger disasters like hurricanes and wildfires that impact entire communities. If someone would like to help, they can make a donation to support American Red Cross Disaster Relief by visiting www.redcross.org, calling 1.800.RED.CROSS or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10.00 donation.
