Montgomery County names Franklin Mir as new Veterans Service Organization Director

Montgomery County GovernmentMontgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office is pleased to announce that Franklin Mir has been selected as the new Veterans Service Organization director.

He has most recently served as a Human Resources Specialist for the Personnel Service Battalion, Fort Campbell, KY.

Mir holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sacred Heart and a master’s degree from Murray State University.

He also served in the United States Army 5th Special Forces Group as a Human Resources Sergeant.

Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers states, “I am pleased to have Franklin join the Montgomery County Government team. As an Army veteran, Franklin knows firsthand the challenges of those he will be serving and assisting through the benefits process. He will be a great asset for Montgomery County Government and I look forward to working with him!”

Mir states, “I am excited to join the county management team. I look forward serving the veteran population of Montgomery County and I hope to find ways that we can better serve them and their families.”

Mir will assume his new role immediately.
