Nashville Sounds get Homerun from Khris Davis to beat Albuquerque Isotopes 6-5

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Khris Davis’ three-run, seventh-inning homer propelled the Nashville Sounds to a come-from-behind 6-5 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Monday evening at Greer Stadium in the opener of a four-game series.

The victory was the fourth in the last five games for Nashville (37-66). Sounds batters rapped out 12 hits on the night but also struck out 15 times.

Streamlined Process Will Allow Veterans and Family Members to be Pre-Approved for Burial

Tennessee Department of Veterans AffairsNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder announced an innovative new online pre-registration form which will allow veterans and their families to be pre-approved for burial in the state veterans cemeteries.

Traditionally, funeral directors contact the nearest state veterans cemetery when they receive a request to bury the remains of a veteran or dependent who previously expressed interest in burial at one of the four locations.

Clarksville City Amateur Golf Tournament won by Brian Balthrop on final hole as he birdies to edge Graham Sleigh

 

Clarksville Sports Network - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Brian Balthrop and Graham Sleigh went back-and-fourth all day Sunday, July 21st, at Swan Lake Course in the final round of the 2013 Clarksville City Amateur Tournament, but a final birdie on the final hole earned Balthrop his third career City Am title.
