Clarksville, TN – Early morning storms again disrupted Austin Peay State University football team’s practice plans, Saturday.
With lightning in the air, the first full-padded practice was pushed back from 9:00am to 2:30pm.

After working on fundamentals early in practice, APSU’s offensive and defensive lines battled near the first hour’s end near the north end zone area. At the same time, APSU’s wide receivers and defensive back were enjoying their own respective battles along the east sideline.
Late in practice, the Govs scrimmage for nearly 20 plays, with Buddy Mitchell’s interception and return for touchdown the highlight of the session.
The Governors will have media day, Sunday, before returning for a two-a-day practice Monday beginning at 9:00am.
Saturday marked three weeks before the season 5:00pm (CT), August 31st, season opener at the Tennessee Volunteers.
