APSU Lady Govs Volleyball’s Jada Stotts named OVC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUBrentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University junior outside hitter Jada Stotts was named Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the Ohio Valley Conference, Monday, following her performance at the USF Invitational.

Stotts, of Hoffman Estates, IL, recorded 71 total kills while leading the Austin Peay offense in each match of the USF Invitational hosted by South Florida. She was named to the all-tournament team, averaging 5.07 kills per set while posting a .228 attack percentage.

Stotts posted two 20-plus kills outings on the weekend, scoring 21 kills against Miami and wrapping her stay in Tampa with 20 kills (.405 attack percentage) against The Citadel. She also had a double-double in each of the first three matches at USF, adding 17 digs to her outing against Miami before a 13-kill, 13-dig effort against Ball State and a 17-kill, 11-dig performance against host South Florida.

It is Stotts first OVC weekly honor. She shared this week’s award with Southeast Missouri middle blocker Emily Coon.

Austin Peay returns to action with the first of three in-state tournaments – the MT Invitational hosted by Middle Tennessee. The Lady Govs start the tournament with a 10:00am, Friday contest against Virginia Tech.
