Clarksville, TN – Senior Anthony Bradley, of Austin Peay State University men’s golf team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Bradley shared the Ohio Valley Conference Male Golfer of the Week award with Jacksonville State’s Tomasz Anderson after shooting a three-round 215 (72-70-73) to lead the Govs to a third-place finish at the Columbia Regional Preview.
Clarksville Academy Lady Cougars Volleyball shocks District 10-A leader East Robertson in five games
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Academy’s volleyball team may have won the biggest match in the program’s history – or at least in recent memory, September 24th at Procter Gymnasium – as the Lady Cougars outlasted the District 10-A regular-season champion East Robertson High School, 3-2, by scores of 6-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-21, 22-20.
In fact, Clarksville Academy (6-7, 6-3 District 10-A) handed the Lady Indians their first loss of the season in district play, dropping them to 20-11 overall and 9-1 in District 10-A.
Clarksville, TN – After scoring 2 goals in the first 10 minutes, the Rossview High School Lady Hawks added five more in the rain to defeat the Kenwood High School Lady Knights 7-0, Tuesday, September 24th. The potent Lady Hawks offense was too much for the young Lady Knights.
“It’s a growing club. We don’t have a lot of travel players on our team, but we’re growing and we are getting better everyday,“ Kenwood Lady Knights head coach Kevin Ford said. “Maybe in a couple of years we will be a flourishing club, but at the moment we are still learning, we are still getting down the basics.”

Montgomery County, TN – The Montgomery County Election Commission wishes to remind citizens that September 24th is National Voter Registration Day.
The day is the high point of National Voter Registration Month, a time when state and county election officials have been working to encourage voter participation and increase awareness of state requirements and deadlines for voting.

Clarksville, TN – An Austin Peay State University art professor will present the next session of the Provost Lecture Series this week at APSU.
Barry Jones, interim chair of the APSU Department of Art, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, September 26th, in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. His lecture will be about the “Common Hope” community art project he developed this year.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Trough Springs Road from North Woodson Road to Rosson Road to repair a water main leak and to replace a water main valve. The water outage includes Gravel Lane, Durham Road and Memory Lane and area residents may experience low water pressure.
The work is expected to be completed by approximately 3:00pm. The road is open to traffic.
