Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s women’s soccer team kicked off the Ohio Valley Conference part of its 2013 schedule, September 27th at Morgan Brothers Field, with a huge win over defending OVC champion and preseason favorite Tennessee Martin, 2-1.
The win also marks the first time since the 2010 season that the Lady Govs (6-1-0, 1-0-0 OVC) opened conference play with a victory.
TBI arrests Two for Forging Documentation for Verification to Comply with Environmental Regulations in Robertson County
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested two former employees of a division of Hollingsworth Oil Company in Robertston County for forgery after they were indicted by the Robertston County grand jury last week.
Scott Hawkersmith, 58, of Goodlettsville, TN was arrested at his place of employment, Petro Pro, in White House, TN this morning. He was indicted on 23 counts of forgery and one count of criminal conspiracy to commit forgery.

Fort Campbell, KY – A Fort Campbell Soldier died September 26th, as a result of combat-related injuries sustained in Paktya Province, Afghanistan.
Identified is Staff Sgt. Thomas Allen Baysore Jr., 32, of Milton, PA. Baysore was killed by an enemy combatant wearing an Afghan National Army Uniform who opened fire on a group of Soldiers. He was struck on the left side of his neck.
Baysore was taken to taken to his post aid station where he succumbed to his wounds.
