Clarksville, TN – With Austin Peay State University football’s October 10th home opener against Eastern Illinois less than three weeks away, the Marketing and Promotions Department wants to make students, alumni and fans aware of all the events occurring at Governor Stadium in 2013.
All week, LetsGoPeay.com will dispense information on different promotions and appreciation days, ending with today’s look at Austin Peay’s new ticketing system.
It all starts with the Govs football home opener 7:00pm, Thursday, October 10th against Eastern Illinois.
Fans will have the ability to create an online profile and purchase single-game tickets through the new site LetsGoPeay.com/SportTIX. Profiles can be generated in two separate categories, allowing Austin Peay faculty, staff and students to use their existing OneStop profile logins while the off-campus community will be able to create profiles using any functional email address.
Along with the technology upgrade, Austin Peay Athletics also has bolstered the ticket office staff, adding Janet Wilson as the Governors Club and Ticketing Manager to assist Sharon Silva. Wilson can be reached by phone at 931.221.PEAY (7329) or by emailing athtickets@apsu.edu.
Some things will stay the same, for instance, all main-campus Austin Peay students will gain free admission to every regular-season home athletics event by simply swiping their APSU ID at the student gate. For Governors football, all students will be asked to enter through the specified student gate.
As a ‘thank you’ from athletics to the members of the Clarksville and Ft. Campbell military community, all military and their families with valid United States Uniformed Services Privilege and Identification Cards (USPIC) will continue to receive complimentary admission to every home Austin Peay event. Special sections at the Dunn Center and Governors Stadium will be set aside for military personnel and their dependents.
Season tickets for all Austin Peay events went on sale in August and continue to be available by calling the ticket office. Football season tickets start at $50.00 for adults and $30.00 for youth/senior, while APSU faculty and staff continue to be eligible for discounted rates and have the option for payroll deduction.
A new program, instituted by new Athletics Director Derek van der Merwe, will allow newly hired APSU faculty and staff to “test-drive” the game day experience with two free season tickets to either football, basketball or baseball. This program is only available to full-time employees hired after January 1st, 2013.
