Community invited to honor parents who have lost infants
Fort Campbell, KY – Community members are invited to the 7th annual Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Ceremony and Walk to Remember Wednesday, October 23rd from 11:30am to 1:00pm.
Attendees should meet at the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s “A” Building outdoor veranda, located to the left of the Patient Entrance.
The ceremony, with guest speaker, music and a balloon release, will commemorate National Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month.BACH staff and community supporters will share their continued support to families who have experienced a childhood loss.
Immediately following the ceremony, attendees will begin the Walk to Remember, circling the walking track around the hospital.
“Losing a member of our Army Family touches our entire community, and infant loss is especially heartrending,” said BACH Chaplain Maj. Thomas Gidley. “It means so much to the Families affected when their neighbors and friends show their support at the annual Walk to Remember so we hope to see the community embrace families who have suffered the loss of a child for this event.”
