Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville High School Lady Wildcats held the Montgomery Central High School Lady Indians to just one point in the second quarter on their way to a 21-5 victory.
It was the last Girls game of the night for the 2013 Clarksville Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Basketball Jamboree at the APSU Dunn Center.
The Lady Wildcats had eight different scorers. Ta’Tayana Outlaw led the Lady Wildcats with 6 points. Lainey Persinger and Aliyah Miller both scored 4.
Mallory and Monica Flake scored the Lady Indians 5 points. Monica scored 3 and Mallory added 2. The Lady Indians only second quarter score was a free throw made by Monica.Outlaw scored the first four points of the game in the paint. It was part of a 6-0 Lady Wildcats run. The Lady Indians held the Lady Wildcats to only five more first quarter points, but had trouble generating any offense to catch up.
The offense that was just a trickle in the first quarter, dwindled to almost nothing for the Lady Indians in the second.
The Lady Wildcats insured the win with a 10-0 run in the second quarter. While the Lady Wildcats dominated from the field in the second half, they struggled from the free throw line.
The Lady Wildcats were 3 of 10 from the stripe.
