Inside APSU Basketball debuts Wednesday at The Gilroy

 

APSU - Austin Peay State University SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay athletics has announced “Inside Austin Peay Basketball” with head coaches Dave Loos and Carrie Daniels will begin 6:00pm, Wednesday at The Gilroy in downtown Clarksville.

“Inside Austin Peay Basketball” will be hosted by David Loos on select Wednesday nights throughout the season. The live one-hour radio show will feature an inside look at the Govs and Lady Govs to include game recaps, along with comments and discussion with both head coaches.

TDOT halts all Lane Closures on Tennessee Highways During the Thanksgiving Holiday

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – Thanksgiving travelers will enjoy a smooth drive through Tennessee again this year during this busy travel holiday. The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will halt all lane closure activity on interstates and state highways in anticipation of higher traffic volumes across the state.

All construction related lane closures will be stopped beginning at 6:00am on Wednesday, November 27th until 6:00am Monday, December 2nd.

Clarksville Transit System offers Free Fare Day on Black Friday

 

Clarksville Transit SystemClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System will be offering free fares for riders all day on November 29th, 2013.

As part of the Regional Transportation Authority, CTS will be joining with other transit providers throughout Middle Tennessee who will be offering free rides.

Included in the program are the commuter buses from Clarksville to Nashville which will run as usual that day.

Clarksville’s Indoor Aquatic Center closed due to mechanical issues

 

Indoor Aquatic Center - New ProvidenceClarksville, TN – Due to mechanical issues, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department has temporarily closed the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, until further notice.

Clarksville Police Department Assists Victim’s Family

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, November 22nd, 2013, one of our citizens, Moises Cedeño, lost his life in Nashville, TN, as a result of an attempted robbery.

The Clarksville Police Department’s Chaplain, Modesto Martinez, was contacted by the Nashville Metro Police Department’s Chaplain, requesting assistance to locate the family. Tennessee State Representative Curtis Johnson announces THDA Grant to Provide Housing for Homeless Veterans

 

Tennessee State Representative - District 68Nashville, TN – Tennessee State Representative Curtis Johnson (R-Clarksville) announced that The Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s (THDA) Board of Directors has approved Buffalo Valley, Inc to receive a grant from the Housing Trust Fund (HTF) to serve the housing needs of elderly, very-low income, and special needs Tennesseans.

Buffalo Valley, Inc. will use $208,400 in HTF funds to rehabilitate 10 units of transitional rental housing in Montgomery (5 units), Lewis (1 unit), and Marshall (4 units) counties.

APSU announces three signed to Lady Govs Basketball

Brianne Alexander, of Smyrna; Falon Baker, of Portland; and Madison Rich, of Bee Spring, KY; will join the Lady Govs for the 2014-15 campaign.
