“We know that a lot of people will have that day off from work,” said Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, “and it’s the first ‘official’ holiday shopping day. This is a great opportunity for people to be able to get around Clarksville, to Nashville and back during the day and even around Nashville as the Metro Transit Authority is also offering free rides on buses and the Music City Star train. Everyone can get where they need to go without having to worry about parking, traffic and wear and tear on their cars.”

“Each year, we budget for free fare days and we are happy to be able to offer this service along with other providers in the RTA system,” said CTS Director Jimmy Smith. “It’s a great opportunity to reward our loyal customers who ride with us every day. It’s also a great way to introduce CTS to people who haven’t tried our services yet.”

Buses will be operating on their regular schedule. For information on routes, please log onto www.clarksvilletransit.org or call 931.553.2429.
