Austin Peay State University official statement on APSU President Tim Hall accepting presidency at Mercy College

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University President Tim Hall announced today that he has accepted the position of president at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. His nearly seven-year tenure at APSU, which marked a period of tremendous growth and national prominence for the University, will come to an end later this spring.

“Lee and I will be departing Austin Peay at the end of the spring semester as I assume the position of president of Mercy College in New York,” Hall wrote in an email message to the campus community today. “We do so with excitement and anticipation at the prospect of new challenges, but with a measure of sadness that we will be leaving a place where we have enjoyed some of the happiest years of our lives.”

Clarksville’s Indoor Aquatic Center’s New Year Splash was a Success

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Across Clarksville last night Clarksvillians gathered together to say goodbye to 2013 and to welcome in the New Year with style.

At the City of Clarksville’s Indoor Aquatic Center families gathered to celebrate with an old fashioned pool party.  The New Years Splash featured  music, refreshments and free access to “The Aqua Run” wibit, “The Aqua Climb” climbing wall, as well as a new, inflatable waterslide. While I was there, the kids were clearly having a blast.

At the Calico Ball located in the Customs House Museum, the focus was on having a good time while supporting an important mission providing support to the organizations which help take care of animals in our community including the Humane Society and the Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter. Both are incredibly worthy organizations who can put both your time and money to good use.

Clarksville, TN – Across Clarksville last night Clarksvillians gathered together to say goodbye to 2013 and to welcome in the New Year with style. At the Tilted kilt the atmosphere was light with Austin Anderson providing the musical entertainment.

Like many venues across our city that evening free champagne was poured so that when the clock struck midnight in Tennessee glasses were raised to toast in the new year. Cheers rang out and girlfriends passionately kissed their boyfriends including several of the young ladies who were working that evening.

Consumer Reports Cell-Phone Service Ratings shows Sprint at the Bottom

 

Smaller Providers of No-contract and Prepaid Service Continue to Rate High; Seven Ways to cut Phone Costs

Consumer ReportsYonkers, NY – Sprint is now the lowest-Rated carrier in Consumer Reports’ latest annual cell-phone service Ratings, based on a survey of 58,399 subscribers by the Consumer Reports National Research Center.
