LBL to Waiver Fee in Honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

 

Land Between the Lakes - LBLGolden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will be waiving fees at participating day-use facilities in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. General admission to the Elk and Bison Prairie will be free and Wranglers Campground will also be waiving day-use riding fees.

“We encourage visitors to come out and enjoy numerous free outdoor recreation opportunities year round,” said LBL Customer Service Manager Brian Beisel. “Bring your family and friends and experience hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, and scenic driving in the great outdoors.”

USAA Super Bowl Party at Fort Campbell’s The Zone

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Calling all football fans! On February 2nd, The Zone will be hosting a Super Bowl party! The game is scheduled to start at 6:25pm but the party starts at 11:00am! At 11:00am you can sign up for a pool tournament that starts at 11:30am.

At 1:00pm you can sign up for a Corn Hole tournament that starts at 1:30pm. Winners of each tournament will receive a great prize.

Austin Peay State University Hall of Fame luncheon tickets still available

 

APSU - Austin Peay State University SportsClarksville, TN – Tickets for the Austin Peay State University Athletics Hall of Fame luncheon, set for February 1st, are still available.

The cost of the 11:30am luncheon is $10.00 per person and reservations can be made through Tara Pfeifler, 931.221.6119, or the Athletics Office at 931.221.7903.

That day two of the greatest Governors athletes in their respective sports and the department’s longtime sports information director will be inducted to Austin Peay State University Athletics Hall of Fame.

The goal of the Tennessee Anti-Meth Production (TAMP) Act is to limit access to pseudoephedrine or ephedrine products to those who are using it illegally while not overburdening law-abiding Tennesseans who need temporary cold and sinus relief.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department reports Rotary Hills Water Outage

U.S. Consumer Product Safety CommissionWashington, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that Sears and Kmart have recalled the Kenmore Oscillating Fan Heaters because the broken motor mounts can cause the unit to overheat causing a fire and burn hazard.
