Clarksville, TN – Former Austin Peay State University basketball star Maurice “Squeaky” Hampton will be inducted into the Russellville High School Athletics Hall of Fame in between games of the girls/boys basketball doubleheader with Logan County, Friday, February 7th.
After a brilliant prep career that saw him earn first-team Kentucky All-State honors as a senior, Hampton starred for APSU from 2002-06.

He left APSU ranked fifth in both career three pointers made and attempted while being ranked 15th in scoring with 1,320 points.
After graduating from APSU in Spring 2007, he played professionally overseas until finally retiring after the 2012-13 campaign.
Helping in honoring Hampton will be another former Russellville High School star, Charles “Bubba” Wells, APSU’s all-time leading scorer and current Govs basketball assistant coach.
A reception for both Hampton and Wells will be held 6:00pm, in the school cafeteria, with the induction ceremony expected to be approximately 7:15pm.
